Kaleim has been recognized as one of Phoenix Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 achievers. Prior to his role at Mattur, he was the CEO of Spear Education, where he orchestrated two successful private equity transactions and repositioned the organization as a technology company. He still serves on Spear’s board, furthering its mission of advancing clinical excellence. He is also a board member and principal shareholder at Imagen Dental Partners, one of the nation’s fastest-growing healthcare organizations.

A graduate of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, Kaleim holds a Masters in Business Administration.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Kaleim enjoys hiking, exploring new destinations, culinary experiences, fine wines, supporting Duke basketball, and following Formula One racing events.

Originally hailing from Vancouver, Canada, Kaleim now resides in Laguna Beach, California, with his wife, Liz, and their son, Liam.

Before starting Mattur, Kris carved a career that spanned the energy, automotive, agriculture, architecture, and defense industries. He specializes in implementing systems for prototyping, testing, and manufacturing, and has seen over 35,000 individual parts from conception through to production.

Kris was the founder of Bobe Water & Fire Features, where he lead the company’s design and manufacturing arms. Kris’s work helped Bobe become one of the largest suppliers in the industry, with customers around the globe, resulting in a successful acquisition in 2018.

A Phoenix native, Kris’s roots run deep in Arizona, where he resides with his wife, Lindsay, and their three daughters, Taylor, Georgia, and Scarlett. When not engineering the future, Kris might be found racing motorcycles across the desert and embarking on adventurous rides across state lines.

Prior to joining us, Kevin acquired extensive experience in the aerospace and defense industries. He launched his career as an engineer at Orbital ATK and then joined Northrup Grumman Corporation, where he developed power electronics and firmware for both companies’ propulsion systems. Kevin was a crucial member in the digital design for command and data handling of Landsat 9. In these roles, he worked with major clients, such as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the United States Geological Survey. After leaving Northrup Grumman, Kevin joined Blue Origin, where he collaborated on electronic power controls for their lunar lander.

Kevin is a double degree graduate. He received his Master’s in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, where he focused on big data, software design, and system architecture. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University.

In his free time, Kevin keeps busy with his wife, Lisa, and three children Kyler, Cooper, and Lila. This accomplished trailblazer in AI and machine learning never stops exploring the technologies. Even his personal projects are driven by that passion, and he has successfully created a fully autonomous, machine learning stock-trading model.

Chris’s extensive experience includes 22 years with companies that include Spectrum Astro, General Dynamics, Orbital ATK, and Northrup Grumman. He specialized in designing real-time, closed-loop simulators and automated test systems for space flight hardware. In these roles, he worked extensively with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the United States Geological Survey.

An alumnus of Arizona State University, Chris received his BSC in Electronics Engineering Technology. When he’s not pushing the envelope in electrical engineering, Chris is an avid motorcycle aficionado, and enjoys spending time with his wife, Holly, and daughter, Regan.

Prior to leading the development of Mattur’s innovative Wind Turbine, he was a Senior Fluid Simulation Engineer at Spectrum Dynamic Research, where he conducted advanced numerical simulations and created data-driven correlation models.

Dan launched his career in France at DynFluid Laboratory-Arts et Metiers ParisTech, where he honed his aerodynamics expertise through specialized research in modeling turbulent flows and optimizing sensor placements. He advanced his research skills at Institut AeroTechnique, designing wind tunnel model testing and proposing experimental measurement techniques based on patterns and data comparisons.

While earning his PhD, Dan was awarded a research grant from the Technical University of Civil Engineering. His mastery of aerodynamic flow control is evidenced by multiple publication credits and a granted patent. Originally from Romania, Dan is fluent in multiple languages and brings a global perspective to the Mattur team.

An avid adventurer with a passion for exploring, Dan considers hiking rugged trails around the world the ideal way to stretch his boundaries.

Tim Crown has a long history of throwing his energy into emerging businesses that are focused on solutions for a better future. He is Principal of AZ Crown Investments, an organization that provides early-stage funding and mentorship to promising startups in industries such as technology, healthcare, and consumer products. Tim’s own entrepreneurial spirit also runs deep. With his brother, he co-founded Insight Enterprises, Inc., growing the venture into a publicly traded Fortune 500 company. Driven to make positive change, he serves on the boards of numerous organizations and supports various philanthropic initiatives.

David Tedesco founded his first software business at age 15, becoming an entrepreneur at a time when many students are applying for their first jobs. Since then, he has built, invested in, or acquired every business he has been involved with. Today, he is the Chief Executive Officer of Outlier, which he founded in 2005 and grew to be one of the biggest private companies in the US. An active member of the board of directors of many private and public companies, this alumnus of Harvard Business School is also a lifelong philanthropist who supports Autism Speaks, The Nature Conservatory, the YMCA, United Way, and several other organizations focused on making positive change.

Jay Petkunas is a seasoned operator who believes that execution is the link between aspirations and results. Jay was a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers before he ran the international operations of a NASDAQ 100 company. In 2006, Jay joined The Wolff Company, an Arizona-based real estate private equity firm that has since raised nine discretionary funds, has invested in more than 50,000 multifamily units, and has grown from $200 million to more than $4 billion of AUM during his tenure. Jay sits on the boards of numerous companies across a variety of industries. He also serves on the boards of multiple philanthropic and civic organizations, including the Arizona State Retirement System and Make-A-Wish Arizona.
